Youth Sunday is an annual event where the youth prepare and lead both the casual and the traditional Sunday services. The youth organize the service, read scripture, sing, pray, preach, act out skits, along with lead all of the other parts of worship.
The West Area Ski Thing is another annual event for youth (middle school and high school). Ski Thing is hosted at First Christian and disciple youth from all over the area come on a Friday night, sleep at the church, and then take off on Saturday to hit the ski slopes at Paoli Peaks.
Another annual West Area youth event is Work Retreat, which occurs in the spring semester at Camp Kum Ba Ya. At Work Retreat, middle school and high school youth reconnect with their camp friends, and clean up camp to get ready for the upcoming summer camp season.
In order to raise money for our annual youth mission trip, our youth put on Valentino's around valentines day. Valentino's is a elegant spaghetti dinner fundraiser, where the youth serve as hosts and servers.
In additional to all of the youth activities listed above, our youth are also involved in many other fellowship opportunities and engage in service projects. Keep an eye on the church calendar for all of our upcoming youth activities!
